What is a good anti-virus program for mac that I can download for free?

i recently got a macbook pro and i loooove it.
i also love downloading because a lot of the cd’s that i want to buy are not sold in stores where i live — i use bit torrent — but i don’t want my computer to get screwed up.

so what is a good anti-virus program [that scans files, etc] that i can get for free?

also, on my old pc i used u torrent to manage my downloads but they don’t have u torrent for mac yet, so what is a torrent download manager for mac that i can use?

    You could try http://www.clamxav.com/

    I would avoid torrent if I were you – sooooo many viruses, spyware, etc.

    I agree with the suggestion about using ClamX. I use it, and I like it just as well as the McAfee version that I had been paying for.
