I have a Mac and comcast high speed internet. Can I download comcast’s info to my Mac?

The Mac doesn’t use the McAfee software…but I was wondering if it would hurt anything or if there were any other benefits to downloading the disc.

You probably shouldn’t take the risk. Macs are already really fast, so there’s no point of it anyway.

Installing Comcast’s disk will do nothing for your Mac but screw it up. I’ve installed dozens of Comcast connections for people and unless a problem occurs, I do not ever use the disk. Mac’s do not need virus protection currently and the disk doesn’t have any actual Mac software. It just reconfigures your settings.

Bottom line – if you are able to use your Comcast high speed internet without using the disk, then don’t use it.
