How does Apple Bootcamp work? Do You Need To Buy Windows Software? Will . .?

Windows XP work for Bootcamp? Would I be able to install some one else’s copy of Windows Vista to install on an Imac, or is Windows Vista so restrictive that only one copy will work? Why do I have to buy Windows software to Run on a Mac too? Why can’t it come pre-installed with Leapord?

    Windows XP will work with Bootcamp "Vista" will not……You will need to buy a copy of Windows if you would like to run it on a Mac, It will not come pre-installed with Leapard because it is a competing product from Microsoft…… Leopard/ Tiger VS Vista/XP There are retailers that you can buy a Mac from with Windows pre-installed here is a link: In my opinion do you really need Windows….NO….there are applications for OSX that will do virtually everything Windows does just sometimes a little harder to find.

    First you do need to buy your own copy of windows,
    Second Boot Camp CAN run Vista, and third your mac needs an Intel processor a Power PC one won’t work.

    I don’t know anything yet about Windows or Windows XP except to say that one or the other can wipe out your entire system if you download it. As for the rest of it…I don’t know.
