Yes BUT it must come with an Intel chip, so if the mach is new you can put windows on it see this site

Only the intel based apple notebooks which are currently the only ones avalable can run windows xp or vista. Either macbook or the macbook pro.

there is a lot of software that will work with both Mac and Windows, but there must be a specific Mac version for it to work. Or, you can also put Windows XP or Windows Vista onto your mac computer using boot camp or Parallels.

If by "windows software" you mean to be able to install a Windows program on the Mac, you can’t.

The only thing you can do is install virtualization software such as Parallels Desktop that will allow you to use both Mac OS and Windows at the same time. You can also install the Windows OS on a separate part of the hard drive and use it instead of Mac OS.

Keep in mind you have to use one of the new Macbooks or Macbook Pros with Intel processors to do this.

Not really, you can just put a windows CD into your notebook and get it to work, but most of the common windows programs have a Mac version that you can get. Also Mac makes a program called virtual PC that lets the mac run windows just like any other program. From within virtual PC you can run alot of windows software that are not avaliable on Mac’s
