Can’t download dv to Mac need help/////?

new in the big apple , im trying to download somthing from my camcorder to my Mac but can’t do-it, my camcorder takes dv tapes it’s not h.d. or somthing great, but i think im doing somthing worng, the comp/ won’t work whit the tapes?
IM useing firewire and im running finel cutxpress

    You need to provide more information. How are you connecting the camera – via USB? What program are you using? iMovie? iMovie should work fine with a DV camcorder. If you want to spend a little money for a great program, you could get Final Cut Express, and it will definitely work.

    Can’t really give any detailed answer with out a more detailed question.
