Brand new Mac, downloaded YM, but all my contacts are gone?

I just got Mac 10.4.9 andI downloaded YM and all of my contacts are not there. I had several hundred for my business. Do I REALLY need to re-add them individually all over again? Not looking forward to that draining tasks if that is the case :(

    there are other user i have saw, that have the same problem, cause they use mac, but you should be able to go to the web messenger and see your contacts there
    i don’t understand why your contacts would not be in your messenger when you downloaded it, go to your messenger and click on contact and select to show your messenger list, it want hurt to check to see if you have it selected
