Best software to convert mpg & wmv files to use on Apple iTouch?

I’ve just got an iPod Touch… and would love to put some of my videos on to it – they are in mpg and also in wmv format. I’m not sure what format the iTouch uses so am looking for some software to do it – and do it well. I don’t mind paying for it and would love some suggestions from someone whose done it already.

    I recommend dvdXsoft iPod Video Converter.
    It can convert all popular video formats to MP4 files for playing on iPod Video.
    Though it may cost a bit, but u can try it out free first to see if it works for what you need it for. I use it, and it works well.
