Apple software upgrade?

Does anyone know when apple is due to come out with their new software? I’m looking to get a new laptop and need to know if I should wait!!!

    Do you mean OS X 10.5 (Leopard)? That’s due out in October of this year, so base your decision around whether you can wait that long or not. If you buy now, you will just have to shell out the $150 or whatever when 10.5 is released.

    As for software updates, such as patches, security updates, and software upgrades (iPhoto, iTunes, etc.), Apple periodically releases them usually between every 3 to 4 weeks.
